December 1st
Once again Slippery Rock did not let me down. Driving through the campus I hit black ice. I slid uncontrollably for about 15 or 20 feet. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t fun. Hopefully the ice melts before people start showing up for classes tomorrow morning or we could have a couple accidents on our hands.
Is that cookie worth it?!?!?
Posted below is a great article whether or not walking one mile burns the same amount of calories as running one mile. Since we are moving the same weight the same distance, should’t it burn the same amount of calories? I won’t ruin the article for you so check it out and let me know your thoughts. The article also talks about the usage of net calorie burn (NCB) compared to the number most of us focus on, total calorie burn (TCB). It important to know the difference between the two when helping students reach their fitness goals. After all, numbers can be deceiving....

Blogging from anywhere!
Since p.e. majors are always on the go it can be hard to share our thoughts over the internet. However, the blogger app on the android market is making things a little easier. Now I can blog anywhere I have service. Right this minute I am at the arc. Who said you can't kill two birds with on stone?
Tech Pete.
Congratulations to every who got through the Tech Pete E-folio with minimal stress! It was one of the most important projects the class offers and it will benefit us greatly in the future. So now that its over, I wish everyone the best of luck with their digital videos, excel projects, and blogs. Remember to stay active as the weather continues to change so your immune system keeps you healthy. Also, we need to keep active to avoid stress that comes with gloomy weather and the end of the school year.
